Effect of Sintering Conditions on the Electrical Properties of Lead-Free Piezoelectric Potassium Sodium Niobate-Based Ceramics

Lead-free piezoelectric 0.92(K0.445Na0.5Li0.05)NbO3-0.08BaZrO3 (KNLN-BZ) ceramics were prepared via conventional sintering. Single-step, 2-step and 3-step temperature-controlled conditions designed. The structure electrical properties of obtained using different procedures systematically studied. It was found that ceramic the method with a holding time 20 h showed highest properties. Curie temperature approximately 286 °C, dielectric constant loss at room 1350 4.5% frequency 1 kHz, respectively. remanent polarization, strain coefficient, d33*, 60 indicating phase transition between ferroelectric phases. Although did not show excellent properties, sintering can be considered an effective to optimize performances KNN-based ceramics. Combined appropriate composition, could obtained. This study provides path enhance density for simple composition potential industry application.
